More than 35
years of trust
Zlatni Broj is an accounting agency founded in Novi Sad in 1990, serving clients across Serbia ever since. Over more than 35 years we have built a reputation on precision, reliability and being genuinely reachable when you need us.
We work mainly with entrepreneurs and IT companies — micro and small businesses — providing a complete financial service, from day-to-day bookkeeping to complex tax planning.
We are proud of our family tradition — the third generation of accountants is at work today, and it is the reason clients stay with us for years.
In the words of
those who trust us
"I came across Dragan on Reddit, in finance discussions, and asked him a couple of questions over the phone. Within an hour he solved problems I had not managed to resolve with previous accountants in three years. When you pick an accountant, it matters that you speak the same language — Dragan and I do. Highest possible recommendation!"
"There are professionals who work by the book, and there are those who write new standards of quality. Dragan from Zlatni Broj is firmly the second kind. He is not just an accountant — he is a backbone for any serious business."
"Every doubt, question and worry I had was answered almost immediately. Dragan is a fantastic guy. If you are planning to switch accountants or hire one for the first time — my warmest recommendation for Zlatni Broj."
"As a foreigner, I thought my accounting situation was complicated. But after just one consultation with Dragan (who speaks excellent English), everything became clear and we resolved it very quickly. Highly recommend their competence and efficiency!"

Answers to the
questions we hear most
What do I need to register an LLC or a sole proprietorship?
For a sole proprietorship you only need an ID document, a registered address and a business name — registration at the APR takes a day or two.
For an LLC (d.o.o.) you need a founding decision, the founder's ID, a registered address and the minimum share capital — a symbolic 100 dinars. We run the entire APR registration for you, from drafting the documents to receiving the decision.
What is the difference between flat-rate tax, an LLC and a personal-salary sole proprietor?
A flat-rate sole proprietor pays a fixed tax set by the Tax Administration based on activity and municipality — regardless of income. Simple and predictable, but capped by a revenue ceiling of RSD 6,000,000 per year.
A sole proprietor on a personal salary is taxed on actual profit. This suits businesses with high costs or variable revenue, because the tax falls in proportion to expenses.
An LLC is a separate legal entity — the owner is not personally liable for company debts. Accounting is somewhat more involved, but there is more room for tax planning, working with foreign clients and growing a team. Full comparison: LLC or sole proprietor?
How do I switch from another accountant?
Switching is straightforward and we manage it end to end. You give us authorisation, we contact your previous accountant and collect all documents and ledgers.
There is no interruption to your business — every tax obligation continues as normal. The only thing that changes is who you send your documents to.
Do you work with IT entrepreneurs and foreign clients?
Yes — the IT sector is our speciality. We work with freelancers, IT agencies and software companies invoicing clients abroad.
We cover everything specific to this sector: contracts in foreign currency, VAT treatment of services supplied to the EU, transfer pricing for foreign-owned companies, and choosing between flat-rate and actual-profit taxation. Dragan speaks English, so communication with foreign partners or founders is never an obstacle.
Can we work entirely online, without visiting the office?
Absolutely. Most of our clients send documents electronically — scans or photos of invoices and statements are perfectly sufficient. We communicate by email, Viber, WhatsApp and phone, with no need to meet in person.
We have clients throughout Serbia and abroad — founders who live outside the country but run a company here work with us entirely online. You are always welcome at the office, but it is never a requirement.
